Within five years, that is, since Trans.eu Certified Carrier (formerly Reliable Carrier Certificate) emerged on the market, more than 6 thousand Polish carriers reported that they want to be certified. However, the certification was granted to a group of approx. 1300 companies from Poland and 200 from abroad. Why? In order to have TCC, the carrier must meet strict criteria, which proved to be too much for some.
Only a carrier with a modern fleet and verified and high quality insurance policies may apply for TCC. When the application is being analysed, also the information on possible debts with other entities and, what distinguishes TCC among others, the opinion of the previous counterparties of a given carrier is being evaluated. What is more, TCC carriers are thoroughly checked monthly, whether they still meet the criteria for having the certificate. Since 2009, there were around 2 thousand companies who had TCC, but lost it as a result of the verification. Regular audit is what makes TCC stand out from the crowd of other certificates on the market.
Size does not matter
The certificate has become popular among both large and small carriers. National and international. Such companies as SM Logistic from Wieprz, Duhabex from Trzebinia and Świrniak i Syn from Strzegom are recognised brands in Polish transport that treat TCC as something that gives them a competitive advantage. – We mainly work abroad for western counterparties. For several years it has been a norm there to have certificates that are an additional certification of high qualities of services offered by a carrier – says Przemysław Haber of Duhabex.
Also Polish shippers, in addition to the verified insurance policy and license, expect additional documents from the carriers. Including, more and more often, the TCC certificate that helps establish business relations. – Several times I found that it was TCC that influenced a decision about us acquiring an order – adds Robert Świrniak of Świrniak i Syn transport company.
This is confirmed by Mikołaj Szatkowski, the Head of Transport and Forwarding Department of the Silesian Logistics Centre S.A. – Safety is very important to us. By commissioning an order to a certified carrier, we are sure that the documents and licenses are valid and the insurance paid.
Reliability that is worth a praise
The growing popularity of TCC is best evidenced by the actions of certified companies, which emphasise that they belong to the elite of the transport companies in a variety of ways. The carriers use official stickers with TCC logo on their cars. According to the estimates of the Trans.eu System, which grants the certificate, approx. 10 thousand trucks on European routes have TCC logo on them.
In addition, the companies will be glad to include the information about having TCC on their websites, company’s Facebook and on the Trans.eu company profile. They also want the information about joining the ranks of certified carriers to reach the trade media.
