How to work with carriers in groups on Trans.eu? Now free of charge

When running business in the transport and logistics industry, effective customer acquisition and the establishment of long-term business relationships are crucial. It is also important to communicate efficiently with contractors, and this is increasingly facilitated by digital solutions. The Trans.eu Platform allows for comfortable communication and even more efficient selection of carriers on defined routes.

We have abolished additional fees for accepting orders from outside the Exchange, including work on groups. If you subscribe to the Platform, you can cooperate and confirm freights received outside the exchange FOR FREE. This means no additional costs for both you and the carrier.

Groups on Trans.eu – why are they so comfortable?

Communication between the forwarder and the carrier is most often based on e-mails and phone calls, which tends to be time-consuming, especially when it is necessary to make several phone calls to find a carrier for a particular route. Dividing carriers into groups in the Contractors module allows for acquisition of customers and efficient management of communication. The Platform, thanks to the negotiation archive, also provides an overview of the entire history of cooperation. The forwarder, having to order transport, immediately sees which subcontractor was previously interested in the offer, which allows him to quickly gain a client and execute the order.

All prices at hand

Groups on Trans.eu allow contractors to control prices, thus reducing unnecessary phone calls and e-mails. The history recorded on the Platform contains the rates offered in the past for a given freight, which, combined with an algorithm calculating market rates, helps select a subcontractor and estimate the price efficiently.

What will the forwarder gain?

Continuous relations with the contractor are the main benefit for ordering parties. Many forwarders regularly organize transport on specific routes, which allows them to optimize costs, facilitate cooperation and work with proven carriers only. Working in groups brings benefits to both parties, who can continue to work together on a long-term basis.

How about the carrier?

Carriers are added to a group by the ordering party. Being a member of the group does not oblige a carrier to take all orders. They are issued by the ordering company with a description of the exact conditions of cooperation and the route. However, it is the carrier who can propose a price, accept or reject the order, as well as negotiate. The panel for starting a conversation with a client is user-friendly and much more convenient than using a traditional e-mail. Additionally, the order description shows all the relevant details that may encourage you to take the order or reject it without negotiation.

How to add a carrier to a group?

The orderer adds transport companies to specific groups by selecting the following in the Menu: Contractors – Groups – Add companies to group.

Adding a company to a group

If the subcontractor has not worked on the Platform yet, no worries – in such a situation, it is worth using the invitation option by going to the Companies or Groups tab of the Contractors Module and clicking ‘Add invitation’ in the top right-hand corner.

Sending an invitation

It is worth noting that one company can be assigned to several groups!

Transports ordered on a priority basis thanks to groups on Trans.eu

Companies ordering transport through groups create a small network of entities that can take a given order. Then it is sent only to members of that group so that they have the opportunity to take or reject the order before other companies offer their services. If the cooperation is successful, it allows carriers to retain regular orders and eliminates the need for risky price competition with other transport companies.
